How Skybrine verification will work
Registration is not verification. They are deliberately separate, and a Skybrine status will always say exactly what was checked.
Verification is not operating yet. This page describes the design so that it can be reviewed before anything goes live.
What a verified status means — and what it does not
A Skybrine status never means that Skybrine guarantees a person’s character, honesty, safety, skill or future performance, or that a business will pay. It means specific checks were carried out on a specific date.

Identity Verified
What is checked
- Government-issued identity confirmed through a regulated verification provider
- Liveness check passed
- Mobile number confirmed by one-time passcode
What it does not say. It does not say anything about skill, honesty, reliability or suitability for any particular work.
Skybrine WorkReady
What is checked
- Identity verified
- Live video conversation with a Skybrine reviewer completed
- Declaration signed
- Work categories and availability confirmed by the person
What it does not say. It does not guarantee the person will perform well, attend, or behave in any particular way. It is not a character reference and not a background check.
Skill Verified
What is checked
- Evidence of a specific, named skill reviewed — a certificate, a test, a demonstrated piece of work or a verified prior engagement
What it does not say. It applies only to the named skill and only to the evidence reviewed. It is not a general competence rating.
Experienced on Skybrine
What is checked
- A stated number of engagements completed and approved through the Skybrine platform
What it does not say. It counts platform activity only. Work done outside Skybrine is not counted and not verified.
Highly Rated
What is checked
- A rating average above a published threshold across a published minimum number of completed, paid engagements
What it does not say. Ratings are opinions of counterparties, not a Skybrine assessment.
Skybrine Verified Business
Identity Verified
- The authorised representative’s identity confirmed through a regulated verification provider
- Email and mobile confirmed
What it does not say. It says nothing about the business itself.
Business Verified
- Legal business name and registration confirmed against an official source
- Tax registration (such as GSTIN) confirmed where applicable
- The representative’s authority to act for the business confirmed
What it does not say. It does not assess the financial standing, solvency or conduct of the business.
Payment Verified
- A settlement method has been registered and validated with the regulated payment provider
What it does not say. It does not guarantee that the business will pay, or that funds are available.
Established on Skybrine
- A published minimum period of activity and a published minimum number of completed, paid engagements
What it does not say. It measures platform history only.
Statuses
Verified is never permanent. Every status has a review date and can be suspended or withdrawn.
- Registered
- You have an account. Nothing about you has been checked.
Shown to others as: An account exists. No check has been carried out. - Verification pending
- You have asked to be verified and are in the queue.
Shown to others as: A check has been requested but not started. - Identity check in progress
- Your identity check is with the verification provider.
Shown to others as: An identity check is in progress. - Video verification required
- A short live video call with a Skybrine reviewer is needed.
Shown to others as: Not yet verified. - Video verification scheduled
- Your call is booked. You will be reminded.
Shown to others as: Not yet verified. - Under review
- A Skybrine person is reviewing the result. A human makes this decision, not software.

- The checks listed on your status page were completed on the date shown.

- Something could not be confirmed. Skybrine will tell you exactly what and why.

What Skybrine would store — and what it would not
Stored
- A verification case identifier issued by the provider
- The provider’s name and the check type performed
- The result and the date it was issued
- The country and the document category (for example "passport"), not the document
- The name of the Skybrine reviewer and the date of their decision
- The next review date
- The current status and its full change history
Not stored, ever
- Identity document images or scans
- Identity document numbers of any kind, including Aadhaar, passport and Emirates ID numbers
- Biometric data
- Bank account numbers or payment credentials
- The video recording of a verification call, beyond the retention period agreed with the provider and disclosed in the privacy notice
Identity documents are handled inside a regulated verification provider and never reach the Skybrine website, Skybrine email or an ordinary Skybrine file store. A breach of Skybrine’s own systems would therefore not expose anybody’s identity document. That is the point of the design, and it is why this website has no form anywhere that accepts one.
Declarations
These are the declarations a person or a business will be asked to sign, shown in plain language so that nobody is asked to agree to something they have not been able to read in advance. They are published here before the platform operates, deliberately, and will be published in their final form before anyone is asked to sign one.
Skybrine Work Verification Declaration
For: An individual registering for work
Recorded with each signature: Full name, Application reference, Country, Date, Declaration text version, Electronic signature, Verification case reference.
- The information I have given to Skybrine about myself, my abilities and my availability is true to the best of my knowledge.
- I am 18 years of age or older.
- I understand that registering with Skybrine does not guarantee me work, income or earnings.
- I understand that Skybrine has not asked me for, and I have not been asked to pay, any fee to register, to apply or to be considered for work.
- I consent to Skybrine and its verification provider carrying out the identity checks described in the privacy notice, and to Skybrine keeping a record of the result.
- I understand that a Skybrine status describes checks that were carried out on a date, and is not a guarantee about me given to anyone.
- I understand that a status may be suspended or withdrawn, and that I will be told the reason and may respond.
Skybrine Business Authorised Representative Declaration
For: The person registering on behalf of a business
Recorded with each signature: Full name, Role, Legal business name, Registration number, Tax registration, Application reference, Country, Date, Declaration text version, Electronic signature.
- I am authorised to act for and to bind the business named above.
- The information given about the business is true to the best of my knowledge.
- The business will state compensation clearly and will not ask any worker to pay a fee, deposit or security amount in order to obtain work.
- The business will comply with applicable law in relation to anyone engaged through Skybrine, including law relating to minimum age, wages and working conditions.
- I consent to the identity and business checks described in the privacy notice.
- I understand that a Skybrine status describes checks carried out on a date and is not a guarantee given to any worker.
Verification, video verification, electronic signature and identity checking all require external providers and legal review, and none of them is configured. This page is the specification, published deliberately early so it can be argued with.
