Skybrine Work — terms and information

Current status

Skybrine Work is not operating as a marketplace. What exists today is a register of interest: you can tell Skybrine that you are looking for work, that you need people, or that you have professional expertise to offer, and Skybrine will hold that and contact you as capabilities open.

Matching, applications, verified statuses, in-platform messaging, work records and payment through Skybrine are in development and are not available. Nothing on this website should be read as saying otherwise.

No fee to a person seeking work — ever

Skybrine does not and will not charge a person to register, to apply, or to be considered for work. This is a permanent rule, not a launch offer.

No business using Skybrine may demand a registration fee, deposit, security amount, training fee, uniform or equipment purchase, or any other payment from a worker as a condition of obtaining work.

Any such demand is fraud. Do not pay it. Report it to Skybrine, and to your local police if money has already been taken. A business that does this is removed.

No promise of work or income

Registering does not guarantee work, an introduction, income or earnings. It creates no employment relationship with Skybrine and no entitlement to any engagement.

Who Skybrine contracts with, and who it does not

When the marketplace operates, Skybrine’s role will be to introduce a business to a person and to provide the platform they use. The engagement itself — what is done, for how long, on what terms and for what payment — will be between that business and that person.

Skybrine will not be the employer of anyone engaged through the platform, will not direct their work, and will not be a party to their engagement. Skybrine’s obligations run to operating the platform honestly and to the standards on this page.

Whether a particular engagement is employment, contract work or something else is determined by the law that applies to it and by the facts of the arrangement, not by what any of us calls it. Where the law treats an arrangement as employment, that law prevails over any description here, and Skybrine will not structure engagements to avoid obligations that properly arise. The platform terms in force when the marketplace opens will set this out in full, and they will be published before anyone can be engaged through it.

Age

Skybrine Work is open only to people aged 18 and over. Age is confirmed at registration, and no one under 18 may be engaged through the platform.

Your information

A public profile, when profiles exist, will show a display name, a broad location, verification status, work categories, languages, availability and Skybrine work history.

It will never show a home address, a phone number, a personal email address, an identity document, a date of birth, bank details, or any accessibility preference you have recorded. Those are for Skybrine to hold under the Privacy Policy, not for a business to browse.

Verification

When verification operates, a status will state exactly which checks were completed and on what date. It is not a character reference, not a criminal background check, and not a guarantee of anybody’s conduct.

A verification has a review date, and it can be suspended or withdrawn. A business relying on one is relying on the specific checks it names and nothing more.

Safety

Skybrine will not carry a listing that requires a worker to pay to work, that conceals the identity of the business, that demands identity documents be handed over to a third party, or that is for work Skybrine believes to be unsafe or unlawful.

Home-based and single-person-on-site work carries additional review, because that is where the risk concentrates. Anyone can report a listing or a business to Skybrine, and reports are read by a person.

Fees, when they begin

Any platform fee will be published before it applies, computed on the transaction, and shown in full to both parties before either commits. The smallest engagements carry the smallest fee, and the smallest carry none.

The fee model shown on the Fees page is a draft for consultation. Nothing is charged today. Statutory amounts such as GST and tax deducted at source are shown separately from Skybrine’s own fee, because they are not Skybrine’s revenue.

Payments

Skybrine does not hold anyone’s money and does not operate an escrow account. When payment through the platform begins, it will run through a licensed payment provider authorised for that purpose, and the terms will be published before it starts. Until then, businesses and workers settle directly between themselves.

Disputes

Skybrine will provide a structured dispute process: both sides are asked for their account and the platform record, a person reviews it, and a written outcome is given.

Skybrine is not a court and has no authority beyond its contractual role between the parties. It can suspend or remove an account, withhold or release a platform-held amount once payments operate, and record the outcome. It cannot order anyone to pay, and it cannot decide a legal claim. Either party remains free to take the matter to the courts or to a consumer forum, and using Skybrine’s process does not prevent that.

Changes

This document was last updated on 15 September 2026. The full platform terms will be published before the marketplace opens, and anyone already registered will be told what they say before being asked to agree to them.
